When a tall, muscular man wearing jeans, a black leather jacket, and slicked-back 50s hair bursts in on her first visit, Brianna is bewitched. Despite the gypsy's warning not to get involved with him, Brianna can't get him out of her mind—even though she, more than anyone, knows the pitfalls of romancing a stranger.
A present-day murder, a mysterious vintage car registered in the distant past, and a smoking gun complicate the puzzle. Brianna doesn't know if her lover from the past is a murderer or a savior, but she's willing to risk time travel to find out.

I giggled and glanced up at him, hoping he would think I was either joking or making a bold pass. “Well, I have a personal policy not to let a man I don’t know into my car without a pat down.”
I reached over and put both hands around his waist.
Dom laughed. “Wow. You really take your job seriously. This must really put a damper on your love life. Okay, Detective Breeze. I’m at your disposal.” He raised his arms in the air. “Pat away, pretty lady. I think I might even like this.”

“How could any guy turn down an invite like this? I’m curious to see what happens next.” Dom closed the door. “I want to assure you, my mother raised me right. I’m a perfect gentleman, far from those perps you must meet at work. Can’t blame you for being careful.”
“Really? A gentleman? So say we went back to my place, we’d watch TV?”
“Yeah, sure, and talk.”
