This was more like it. Michael's blood surged at the thought that his fantasy was about to fall into place. A man and a woman alone on a blanket on a warm secluded beach, and he was holding the woman in his arms. That woman was Erin, someone who had grown very special to him over the past several days.

Savour the moment, he tried to tell himself, but one emotion after another bombarded his mental process. He'd not expected they would move together without conscious decision. It seemed to have happened spontaneously. He'd ended up with Erin tucked neatly in his lap, her head resting on his shoulder, and his face buried in the soft blond curls. And those curls smelled fabulous as his forearms circled her slim waist.

"Hmm." Had he uttered that sound or had she? He didn't know for sure. Maybe they both had. But there was no mistaking its meaning. Pleasure, contentment, high-end happiness.

His fingers began a slow caress of the nape of her neck. "More wine?"

"I've a different type of thirst," she whispered huskily as she turned and pressed her mouth gently to his.

"D.C.Clark has forged a romance that is tender and infinitely pleasurable. This story builds a gentle romance against the complexities of modern living and the careful secrets of the past. It's a perfect antidote to a long day, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good read on a cold winter's night." -Pamela, Author, Canada

"The genealogy aspect was very accurate. I found the family earch steps very plausible. The characters were real. I would recommend it very highly." M.M., Genealogist, Texas
