My lifelong addiction to reading is so strong I worked in a library just to be close to the books, and married a librarian to ensure a steady supply with no fines. At different stages of my life Ive been hooked on Mad magazine, Nancy Drew, and Shakespeare. Eventually, of course, I felt the irresistible itch to be a writer myself. I wrote and sold a dozen confession stories to the Trues and completed a novel for my B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing. By then I was in my mid-forties, and still afraid to call myself a writer. But when I was laid off from my IT job a few years ago, I ran out of excuses. Since then Ive had a story published in Womans World and signed a contract with The Wild Rose Press for a Champagne Rose. Now Im proud to add another noun to my list of labels author! When Im not writing, which I find as effortless as milking a cat, I enjoy cooking, knitting, studying psychology, and spoiling my granddaughter.
