Judith Boss is the author of several short stories as well as five college textbooks, including THiNK and Analyzing Moral Issues, both among the top sellers in their fields. Prior to pursuing a career in academic she worked as a research/writer for the Nova Scotia Museum. During her spare time she volunteers with the US Fish and Wildlife Services. An avid traveler, she took a cruise to Antarctica to research this novel. Boss lives in rural Rhode Island with her daughter, son-in-law, twin granddaughters and Corgi.
