I started working life as a retail pharmacist, but soon left to work in the pharmaceutical industry where I spent twenty happy years writing about science. However following a New Year resolution to write a book, I soon realised there was a far more exciting topic to write about - romance. So, backed by my wonderful family, I left the world of pharmaceutical science to do exactly that. Now, ensconced in my study, I let my imagination run riot - until the children come home from school and reality comes crashing down. However, whilst my house isn't exactly filled with romance, my husband's unstinting support of my career change just goes to prove that romance isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes can come in many disguises.
