Being born in Charleston, South Carolina is a very good beginning for an author. Walking the streets of downtown, the past lives and breathes and walks beside you every moment. The very soil you play in is infused with haints, spirits and memories. You walk the beaches on Pawley's Island knowing some are protected by the Gray Man while the downtown and swamps are thick with ghosts. To walk on the cobbled streets while peering into wrought iron gated yards where the past, the present and the spirits meet is to walk in many worlds at once.
I was lucky enough to spend summers in Charleston as my father's job took us all over the country. When I graduated high school I moved back to Charleston to start my own adventures. I am still married to the handsome sailor that courted me in his dress whites and we have three grown children. We both graduated the College of Charleston and both served our country. We went on to Arizona to raise dogs and goats on a small farm. We help veterans when we can by training and giving them service dogs.
My daughter and cats supervise my writing efforts and share their opinions frequently.
